FANTASTIC!!!!!! That’s really all that needs to be said about this transition plate, but that really wouldn’t be much of a review now would it. I just installed the transition plate on my trailer and the installation process is very simple and straightforward. The quality of this transition plate is top notch. In my opinion, this is the best option on the market for a transition plate of this quality! I only use my trailer to haul a John Deere riding mower and a motorcycle from time to time and this plate makes it so much easier to load and unload both of them. There was no flex in the plate at all loading either one of them. Just keep in mind that this is made of solid steel, so yes it is going to add a little bit of weight to the rear door of the trailer and it is noticeable when lowering and raising the door. Shipping was extremely fast. I was actually surprised how fast it was shipped. Great job etrailer!!!
I own a luxury mobile Teppanyaki private chef company we use custom NSF commercial wolf griddles for cooking. I’m talking about over 500 lbs of weight each grill. This trailer plate was one of the best purchases I’ve made for my trailer. Although is heavy in weight, it’s heavy duty and can handle the weight of our equipment. Install was very simple. I think it took me less than 60 minutes to install by myself. An experienced person would install under 30 minutes. A happy customer.

Easy to install and very durable. We are a portable church based in south alabama and currently load and unload equipment every weekend. We have a 28ft and 26ft trailer and about to purchase a second one.
Got the items super quick. Don't know why I waited to get these for my trailer. As a DJ I have hated having to lift my carts up over the lip of the ramp. These went together very easily and had both installed in about half an hour. Looking forward to using these soon on my next event.Photos show installed and ramp up.
The only reason for 4 stars is I followed the instructions down to the letter, and by doing that, the transition plate flexes a little bit in the middle of the plate and gets hung up on the trailer door when trying to flip it back over to close the door, looks like I need to move the transition plate up about 1/2 inch to avoid hang ups with the plate. Plate seems to really well made.
I had a great experience with ordering transition plates for my trailer. Shortly after ordering, I was promptly notified about the status of my order by Brandon with etrailer. What I like most about the plate is that it is well-built with solid metal materials which will help with safely loading and unloading heavy items.
The ramp is built very well, super strong for rolling motorcycles / tool boxes or just about anything into the cargo trailer. the only issue I did not account for is the extra weight the door has now because of the ramp, it will require more strength to close the door. (FYI)
So if you want the best ramp for your trailer I highly recommend buying this product. Install is straight forward just line it up and screw it on to the trailer ramp and done.
This ramp came exactly as advertised. It arrived in 2 days, which I did not expect and only took 30 minutes to install. It is made of heavy duty steal that I drive my 26" floor scrubber over. It does not show any sign of struggling to handle the weight.
I will be buying more of these for my other work trailers.
the transition plate from door to ground installed and works great problem is the cover plate from trailer floor to door not working at all turned the bolts over close to the hinge and still have a 1 inch gap from the plate to door. Not a good fit at all.
Works perfectly and handles all the heavy stuff we wheel in and out of our trailer without any hickups or snags with smaller wheels or rough terrain.
Excellent material!! Handles my needs perfectly! I have gone over it with more weight and no problem. I would absolutely recommend it's purchase, matter of fact I may buy a second one for the inside lip of trailer as this one is at ramp doors edge to ground contact. No wood conversions compares to this, especially after a hard days work in the rain.
So far I like them a lot. I bought them for my event/ sales trailer for my business. I have run 1100lbs tool boxes and 800lbs tire machines across them and they are working well. Very happy so far.
This transition plate (t-plate) is a heavier gauge than one provided in an earlier cargo trailer. The stamped pattern provides better footing, too. Though a t-plate isn't necessary for hauling cars, we all know that enclosed trailers haul more furniture that anything else! The t-plate gives workers and wheeled-dollies a smooth ingress and egress from the trailer.
Installation was elementary. I used self-tapping #10 x 1.25" stainless steel screws. The panhead screws in my floor's aluminum end cover were removed for a flush mount against the end cover. The t-plate does have sharp corners which I recommend be rounded just a bit with a small grinder, like a Dremel, to avoid scrapes while strapping down a car.
Yes, the price is excruciating. It's one of those deals: they have it, we want it.
Transition plate works great. Easy to size and install. It’s obviously a lot heavier than the stock plywood transition but that alright it’s solid. I’m happy with the purchase
So far so good. I installed this flap at the bottom of the ramp. We use this trailer for Commercial Moving services and rolling 4 wheel Dollie’s up and down the ramp is very easy with this flap. Took all of 10 minutes to install, definitely recommend.
Super easy installation, high quality tread and heavy duty plates. The only thing I don't love is that it doesn't lay flat over the transition. I put some plastic spacers under the hinges and drilled out holes for the nuts and hinge rivets to help alleviate this. Perhaps raising the tongue more would help also.
Product was packaged so poorly that the metal staples scratched the entire length of the extension. Literally scratched through the paint exposing bare metal. I'll have to get it repainted because the packaging was so bad, I can't return it.
